Known issues

Blurry CJK text in Chromium-based browsers at 96 DPI

Symptom: Users may see blurry or unclear Chinese, Japanese, or Korean (CJK) text when viewing content at 96 DPI (100% scaling) in Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. The March 2025 Preview Update introduced Noto fonts for CJK languages as fallback fonts. The blurriness results from limited pixel density at 96 DPI reducing the clarity and alignment of CJK characters.

Workaround: Increasing display scaling improves text clarity. Microsoft has shared its findings and potential solutions with Google for further discussion. Users can also report issues through the official Google Noto Fonts GitHub repository.

Error events logged for Windows Firewall after update installation

Symptom: After installing this update, security event logs may contain event ID 2042 for Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, appearing as "Config Read Failed" with the message "More data is available." This event is logged on every device restart. Windows Firewall continues to function normally and no action is required; the event relates to a feature currently under development and not yet fully implemented.

Workaround: The event can be safely ignored. This issue is addressed in KB5062660.
