• Settings agent (Copilot+ PCs): A new AI-powered agent in Settings helps users find and change PC settings by describing what they need. Initially rolling out to Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs in English only, with AMD and Intel support coming later.
• Settings Search box (non-Copilot+ PCs): The Settings app now shows a Search box at the top center on non-Copilot+ PCs for easier navigation.
• Quick Machine Recovery: Now available as part of the Windows Resiliency Initiative. When enabled, it automatically detects and attempts to fix widespread boot issues using Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and Windows Update, without requiring manual intervention. Enabled by default for home users; IT admins can configure it via the Intune Settings Catalog using RemoteRemediationCSP.
• Unexpected restart screen: A redesigned interface appears during unexpected restarts, aligning with Windows 11 visuals and keeping technical details visible on a black background.

Improvements and fixes

• Authentication: Fixed a problem where the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) could stop responding during machine password changes when specific audit settings were active.
• File Explorer Home: Fixed an issue where File Explorer Home unexpectedly showed only a single folder (such as Desktop) instead of the normal view with recent files.
• Graphics: Resolved a problem where external graphics cards connected via Thunderbolt were not always detected in some configurations.

• File Explorer - Progress dialogs: Fixed an issue where file operation progress dialogs stopped appearing when launched from certain apps.
• File Explorer - SharePoint sync performance: Fixed a slowdown when syncing multiple SharePoint sites to File Explorer, which affected folder navigation, context menu responsiveness, and file launch speed.
• Desktop icons: Fixed a display bug where app icons pinned to the desktop could show as a blank white page after the app updated.

Known issues

Error events logged for CertificateServicesClient

Symptom: After installing this update or a later update (including the August 2025 security update), Event Viewer may log the following error related to CertificateServicesClient (CertEnroll): "The 'Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider' provider was not loaded because initialization failed." This appears as Error ID 57 on every device restart. It is related to a feature currently in development and does not affect any active Windows component or Windows functionality. No action is required.

Microsoft bundles the latest servicing stack update (SSU) - KB5064485, build 26100.4765 - with this cumulative update, so no separate SSU installation is required beforehand.
